Paediatric First Aid
Course duration: 12 hours/2 days
Intro to the course:
This course has been developed for those who are working with children and infants in a professional environment for example schools, creche assistants, teachers, professional child minders etc.
It is ideal for individuals who are responsible for children and infants, who wish to gain a nationally accredited Level 3 Award.
This 2 day course meets the requirements set out by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted. In order to obtain this qualification, you must attend 2 days and complete all the training.

- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
- Assessment of the situation
- Wounds & bleeding
- CPR – adult, child and baby
- Minor injuries
- Epilepsy
- Anaphylaxis
- Shock
- Head injuries
- Infantile convulsions
- Heat and cold
- Eye injury
- Fainting
- Choking
- Sickle cell anaemia
- Burns
- Diabetes
- Foreign bodies – ears, eyes, nose
- Meningitis
Certificate – valid for 3 years, regulated by Ofqual.
Renewing the qualification – attend the same course again to re-qaulifiy.
